By participating in Chennai Runs 2024, organized by MRT1 Initiative, participants, volunteers, sponsors, and other stakeholders agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
The event date, schedule, and other details may be subject to change, and participants will be notified of any such changes through the official event communication channels.
2. Registration and Participation
Participants must complete the official registration process, provide accurate and up-to-date information, and pay the required registration fee to be eligible for the event.
Participants under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to participate.
Participation is personal and non-transferable. Participants cannot transfer their registration to another individual without the explicit permission of the event organizer.
3. Health and Safety
Participants must be in good health and sufficiently trained to undertake the event. It is recommended that participants consult with a medical professional before participating in the marathon.
Participants are responsible for their own safety during the event. The event organizer will provide medical assistance as needed, but participants must exercise caution and follow event instructions at all times.
Participants with known medical conditions should wear appropriate medical identification and inform event organizers about their condition.
4. Conduct and Behavior
Participants and attendees must behave in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior towards others will not be tolerated.
Participants are responsible for their own actions and must follow event rules, regulations, and instructions given by event officials.
5. Photography and Promotion
Participants understand and consent to photographs, videos, and other recordings being taken during the event. The event organizer reserves the right to use these materials for promotional and documentation purposes.
6. Liability and Waiver
Participants acknowledge that participating in a marathon involves inherent risks and that they assume full responsibility for their actions during the event.
Participants, volunteers, sponsors, and attendees release the event organizer, its affiliates, sponsors, and partners from any liability for injuries, damages, losses, or expenses that may occur during or in connection with the event.
7. Refund and Cancellation
Registration fees are non-refundable in the event that the organizer has to cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances such as rain, floods, earthquakes, riot, public safety (insert other FORCE MAJURE/ACT of GOD clauses here)
8. Event Changes or Cancellation
The event organizer reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be notified as soon as possible through official communication channels.
